Toy, Small, and Medium Breed Puppies
The Precious Puppy specializes in small and toy breed dogs. In order to prevent malnutrition and hypoglycemia, small and toy breed dogs need to be fed small meals at least three to five times a day. Make sure to adhere to a strict feeding schedule.
Your puppy’s teeth are still developing and are not accustomed to eating hard foods. For the first three months, you should soften your puppy’s food with a small amount of canned dog food (around two teaspoons) with each feeding. This will help to protect and strengthen your puppy’s teeth.
Additionally, add some salmon oil to your puppy’s food. Not only will your puppy love the taste, but this also promotes healthy skin and fur, strong muscles and joints, and a hardy immune system.
Here are some basic feeding guidelines for your small or toy breed puppy:

Large Breed Puppies
The Precious Puppy also has several large breeds of puppies available. Proper diet and portion size is equally important to larger breeds as it is to the toys. Proper feeding helps stimulate and regulate bone growth, which is important for large breed dogs. If their bones do not grow fast enough, or grow too fast, this can lead to complications later in life. Puppies use up a lot of energy, so it’s best to feed your puppy three times a day. Make sure to adhere to a strict feeding schedule.
