Puppy Guarantee

Uncle Bill's Pet Centers are committed to providing our customers with the healthiest pet quality puppies available and to provide the most accurate information on continued care for those pets. All Uncle Bill's Pet Center puppies receive regular care under the supervision of a licensed veterinarian. All Uncle Bill's Pet Center puppies are up to date on vaccinations and worming (vaccinations given according to the puppy’s age). As this puppy’s new owner you are now required to continue with the follow up vaccinations, wormings and exams that are recommended by the veterinarian. You are also responsible for the costs necessary to complete those vaccinations, wormings and exams. No one can prevent every problem, so to insure your continued happiness with your new puppy, Uncle Bill's Pet Center provides the following warranties:

Free Veterinary Examination -To validate this guarantee Uncle Bill's Pet Center requires you to take your new puppy to one of our preferred animal care providers within five (5) days of the purchase date. Failure to take your new puppy to one of our preferred animal care providers within the five (5) days nullifies the entire puppy guarantee.  The initial exam will be at no cost to the purchaser. Any and all tests, heartworm preventatives, vaccinations and medications that are authorized by the purchaser are the sole responsibility of that purchaser. Uncle Bill's Pet Center is not responsible for the charges incurred for these services. Should you be unable to make this exam, you must contact Uncle Bill's Pet Center prior to the expiration of the 5-day period.  

Limited 30 Day Health Guarantee - If during the first thirty (30) days from the date of purchase your new puppy should contract any viral or bacterial illness or disease, Uncle Bill's will, at our option, (1) pay veterinary costs (approved in advance) necessary to restore your puppy to good health; (2) replace your puppy within 60 days with another puppy of equal value; or (3) refund a portion of the purchase price of the puppy as determined by Uncle Bill's Pet Center with its return

Limited 1 Year Congenital Birth Defects Warranty - Within the first year from date of purchase if your new puppy should be diagnosed with a debilitating congenital defect, Uncle Bill's Pet Center will, at our option,

 (1) At our discretion, pay veterinary cost, never to exceed the purchase price of the puppy, to correct the defect if possible. OR

(2) Refund the purchase price of the puppy, all Registration Papers for that puppy returned to Uncle Bill's Pet Center. OR

(3) Replace the puppy with another puppy of equal or lesser value, all Registration Papers for that puppy returned to Uncle Bill's Pet Center.

Uncle Bill's Pet Center upon consultation with our veterinarians, retain the right to determine the definition of “Debilitating Congenital Defects.” In order for this warranty to be valid, a statement from a licensed veterinarian and any pertinent medical records must accompany any and all claims.

Limited 2 Year Congenital Hip Dysplasia Warranty - If during the first two (2) years from the date of purchase your new puppy should be diagnosed as having debilitating hip dysplasia, Uncle Bill’s Pet Center will, at our option,

(1) At our discretion, pay veterinary cost, never to exceed the purchase of the puppy, to correct the defect if possible. OR

(2) Refund the purchase price of the puppy, all Registration Papers for that puppy returned to Uncle Bill's Pet Center. OR

(3) Replace the puppy with another puppy of equal or lesser value, all Registration Papers for that puppy returned to Uncle Bill's Pet Center.

Uncle Bill’s Pet Centers upon consultation with our veterinarians retains the right to determine the definition of “Debilitating Hip Dysplasia.” In order for this warranty to be valid, all claims must be accompanied by, x-rays of the hips specifically for evaluation of the hips, pertinent medical records of the puppy and a written statement from a licensed veterinarian. Upon request the x-rays can be returned after our veterinarian has had a chance to evaluate them.

Preferred Animal Care Provider - Uncle Bill’s Pet Center has a number of Preferred Animal Care Provider veterinarian clinics. They are any of the selected VCA Animal Hospitals in the Indianapolis area, Steven A. Henry D.V.M (Greenwood, IN), Dr. Vermillion D.V.M. (Columbus, IN), Hamilton Crossing Animal Hospital (Westfield, IN) and Indian Creek Veterinary Hospital (Ft. Wayne, IN) . If you wish to take your new puppy to your own veterinarian for exams or treatments, you are responsible for any and all charges.

Hypoglycemia - Uncle Bill’s Pet Center Puppy Guarantee does not cover Hypoglycemia since it is a condition brought on by factors that are beyond our (or the breeders) control. If your puppy goes through a hypoglycemic episode we can help you through it, but
Uncle Bill’s Pet Center is not responsible for any vet bills incurred due to it.

Companion Pet - Uncle Bill’s Pet Center provides puppies solely for the purpose of a companion pet. There is no warranty expressed or implied that you will be able to use the puppy for breeding or showing purposes (including but not limited to conforming to the height and weight of the breed standard). You should not purchase a puppy from Uncle Bill’s Pet Center if either of these uses is important to you. Due to pet over population Uncle Bill’s Pet Centers encourages you to consider spaying or neutering your pet.

Registration Papers - Uncle Bill's Pet Center sells puppies registered with different dog registries the 4 most common ones are the (1) American Kennel Club (AKC), (2) American Pet Registry (APR), (3) United Kennel Club (UKC), (4) Continental Kennel Club (CKC) and a few other breed specific registries. Registration papers are available for pick up eight (8) weeks after the date of purchase.  The person individually registering the puppy is solely responsible for all registration and transfer fees. (Average registration and transfer fees range in price from $15.00 to $50.00)
Uncle Bill’s Pet Centers will send the registration application papers directly to you for an additional fee of $15.  Otherwise, someone from the Uncle Bill’s Pet Center from which you purchased your new puppy will contact you within that time frame. If you have not received your registration papers by that time feel free to call and speak to the manager of the store. Uncle Bill’s Pet Centers will guarantee registration of puppies up to but not to exceed three (3) months after date of purchase. Uncle Bill’s Pet Centers will not pay any fees due to late registration.

Special Circumstances - Uncle Bill’s Pet Center realizes that there are circumstances under which you may not be able to keep your new puppy, such as allergies, compatibility and/or housing restrictions. Because of these unforeseen circumstances, Uncle Bill’s Pet Center will allow a puppy to be returned with the following fees to apply:

If the puppy is returned within 24 hours, restocking fee is $150.00.

If the puppy is returned between 25 and 72 hours, restocking fee is $250.00.

If the puppy is returned between 73 hours and five (5) days, the restocking fee is $300.00 or 50% of the purchase price of the puppy. Which ever is the greater amount.

No refund, cash or store credit will be issued for a puppy after five (5) days from the date of purchase.

Any returns will be contingent on Uncle Bill’s Pet Centers having available cage space as defined by USDA caging requirements.  Any cash refund will be issued to the purchaser by company check within fourteen (14) days of the transaction.  Credit card refunds will be processed at the time of return.

Merchandise Returns -  Refunds on other merchandise will only be for items unused and in their original packaging.

General Terms & Conditions
1. Uncle Bill’s Pet Center is not responsible for any payments of veterinarian’s fees for examinations, drugs, x-rays, laboratory testing or any other treatment unless agreed to by us in writing, prior to the performance of such services. 

2. If the need for a necropsy arises, the cost of a necropsy is the responsibility of the customer.  Uncle Bill’s Pet Center will reimburse the cost of  the necropsy if the cause of death is found to be congenital and the necropsy is performed by a VCA veterinarian.

3. This guarantee is  null and void if the puppy exhibits signs of abuse or neglect.

4. The puppies at Uncle Bill's are fed a premium dog food, correct snacks and chew items. In order to ensure their health we require that the puppy stay on the recommended food, snacks and chew items for the 30-day health warranty period.

5. If you are eligible for and select a refund or credit under the provisions of this warranty, you must return any registration or registration application documents for this puppy that have been delivered to you.

6. Uncle Bill’s Pet Center is not responsible for the treatment of any pets in the household other than the ones listed under this Limited Warranty. Puppies, like children, are able to transmit illnesses to other pets. Taking a new puppy to your home may put your other pets at risk for illness. 

7. These guarantees and warranties are given in lieu of all other warranties either expressed or implied. No other remedies or warranties which extend beyond the preceding terms and conditions are valid.

This written agreement is the entire agreement between me and Uncle Bill’s Pet Center concerning the health, condition, development, use or loss of the puppy purchased today. I will not rely on any oral statements particularly about cash refunds or payment of veterinarian fees contrary to this written agreement. I have read and completely understand these Guarantees, Including the General Terms and Conditions, all of which I accept. I have been provided with a copy of this Guarantee.  (These Guarantees are not transferable)
